Nostradamus and Baba Vanga have both predicted a chilling event set to unfold in 2025, with grim consequences for Europe.
When it comes to famous soothsayers, French astrologer Michel de Nostredame, better known as Nostradamus, and Bulgarian healer Baba Vanga—born Vangeliya Pandeva Surcheva—are often the first names that come to mind.
Despite being born 470 years apart, both have made predictions about some of the most significant events in modern history.
Their predictions include some of the most significant events in modern history, such as the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Chernobyl disaster, and the Great Fire of London, among many others.
While some skeptics dismiss Nostradamus and Vanga’s seemingly uncanny ability to predict the future, attributing their prophecies to mere coincidence, countless people still turn to their predictions every year. As 2025 approaches, both figures have made similar prophecies about a troubling future—specifically involving conflict in Europe.
What did Nostradamus say would happen in 2025?
Despite passing away over 450 years ago, Nostradamus continues to captivate us with his predictions. Before his death in 1566, he wrote a series of 94 poetic verses, which were published in his 1555 book Les Prophéties.
Not only did he famously predict the death of his friend, King Henry II, at the hands of a ‘young lion’ at the age of 40, but he also seemingly foresaw events such as Hitler’s rise to power in the 1930s and the assassination of JFK.
It appears Nostradamus had a few more predictions in store for 2025. Among them, he warned of an ‘ancient plague’ possibly descending upon Europe and foresees Britain being torn apart by conflict. He wrote: “When those from the lands of Europe see England set up her throne behind, her flanks, there will be cruel wars. The ancient plague will be worse than enemies.”
Another line from Nostradamus reads: “A great pestilence from the past returns, no enemy more deadly under the skies,” according to Metro.
Fans of the renowned prophet also interpret his lines “The Cock will see the Eagle, its wing poorly finished/by the Lion will it be put into extremity” as a possible reference to the English Premier League. Sky History suggests that Crystal Palace, known as the Eagles, could be overtaken by Tottenham Hotspur, whose crest features a cockerel.
Additionally, Nostradamus predicted that 2025 would bring a “decrease in the influence of established Western countries,” alongside the “emergence of new world powers,” as soldiers grow “exhausted” from prolonged warfare.
What did Baba Vanga say would happen in 2025?
Born in 1911, Baba Vanga lost her sight in childhood and later became famous for her numerous prophetic visions.
Some of her most famous predictions include the death of Princess Diana and several extreme weather events that shook the world in 2022.
Similar to Nostradamus, Vanga is said to have predicted that war would engulf Europe in 2025. She even went so far as to claim: “Russia will not only survive, it will dominate the world.”
The mystic also foretold that a significant portion of the continent would be “devastated” by conflict.
In the world of sports, Baba Vanga predicted that Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton would win an 8th World Championship in the 2025 season. She also claimed that aliens would make contact with Earth during a major sporting event.
Beyond athletics, Vanga predicted that significant scientific advancements are imminent, and that a powerful nation would use a biological weapon in 2024.
