Selena Gomez is ‘slaying’ her way to billionaire status, having achieved this remarkable milestone at just 32 years old.
The actor from Only Murders in the Building, who first gained fame on Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place, is now worth an impressive $1.3 billion (£990 million).
In 2020, she launched Rare Beauty and has since become one of the youngest female self-made billionaires, according to Bloomberg.
The brand focuses on mental health awareness and inclusivity, alongside its cosmetics.
Her stake in the company, renowned for its liquid blush and lip products, is estimated to be worth over a billion dollars.
Reportedly, over 80 percent of her wealth comes from Rare Beauty.
In 2023, speaking on KIIS-FM about the company, she said, “I really tried my hardest to create a product that goes beyond just putting my name on something.”
“I wanted the products to be great, and I also wanted the message to be that makeup is meant to be fun.”
However, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in August, she stated that acting will always be her main priority.
“Acting has, and will always be, my heart,” said the Emmy-nominated star, who appears in Only Murders in the Building alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short.
“There’s so much that I want to do and that I haven’t even scratched the surface of, and it’s exciting to me.”
On season four of the show, which premiered earlier this month, she added, “I think this is our most exciting season yet.”
“With absolute confidence, I’d say it was incredibly fun. The way everything came together was truly magical.”

Season four explores the aftermath of Sazz’s murder, with Charles’ former stunt double, played by Jane Lynch.
