One word Matthew McConaughey’s mum said to him that made him realise Woody Harrelson could be his brother

They’re two of Hollywood’s most recognizable names, faces, and voices. Over the years, Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson have built a strong friendship, but their bond might go beyond just a bromance.

Harrelson and McConaughey shared the screen in the first season of True Detective in 2014, delivering standout performances in what became one of the yearโ€™s best showsโ€”still widely acclaimed by critics today.

Off-screen, McConaughey and Harrelson might be more than just friendsโ€”they could actually be related. And not distantly, but as brothers.

McConaughey’s mother, Mary Kathleen ‘Kay’ McConaughey, was also part of that family vacation.
