Girlfriend of Brit influencer who died falling off 160ft bridge speaks out as she reveals tragic final text

Daredevil and influencer Lewis Stevenson, 26, tragically fell to his death on Sunday morning, October 13, while attempting to scale the Castilla La Mancha bridge in Spain.

Plummeting from the 630-foot (192-meter) structure, the British man was reportedly climbing Spain’s highest bridge without any assistance or safety gear, intending to capture photos and videos for his social media accounts.

Known as a ‘rooftopper,’ Stevenson had been cautioned by his family against attempting the stunt.

However, as someone who ‘loved’ the hobby and had successfully completed several perilous climbs before, he ‘always believed heโ€™d be alright’ when embarking on these adventures.

Some of his more impressive photos include breathtaking shots taken atop a skyscraper in New York, others while dangling from a structure in Croatia, and a few capturing views of Central London from a metal beam.

Tributes have flooded in for the late adrenaline junkie, with Spanish authorities confirming that he was accompanied by a 24-year-old friend at the time of the incident.

Reports indicate that the pair were about a quarter of the way across the iconic bridge when he lost his grip and fell to his death.

Local Councillor Macarena Munoz stated that access to the bridge is ‘completely prohibited’ following the recovery of the Brit’s body at 7:14 AM on Sunday.

A spokesperson for the National Police in Toledo reported, “He was approximately 40 to 50 meters up, about a quarter of the total height of the bridge, when he fell.”

The statement also noted that “the cause of the fall is unclear and will be investigated by a local court,” with adverse weather conditions being considered as a possible factor.

Stevenson’s girlfriend, Savannah, has since spoken out about her boyfriend’s tragic death, sharing how difficult the last few days have been for her.

Savannah Parker expressed her anguish online, writing: “It’s 5 AM, and I haven’t eaten or slept. Someone tell me this is a nightmare.

“I feel violently sick at the thought that you’re not coming back. Please come back. Answer the phone.”

She had last spoken to her boyfriend just eight hours before his death, with her final message to him saying, “Good night, I love you.”

However, Parker believes that her partner may have passed out while climbing the bridge, which could have led to his fall.

“He didn’t just fall; he lost consciousness because he wasn’t feeling well,” she claimed.

“His friend, who was with him, sent me his police statement. He mentioned that Lewis told him he wasn’t feeling well and asked, ‘Shall we go back down?’

“Lewis then said, ‘Give me a minute,’ and thatโ€™s when he lost consciousness and slipped,” Parker explained.

She further added, “Every time he went away, I would tell him to be careful. As much as it worries me, I try not to dwell on it because I already worry enough. I just let him do his thing, and usually, he comes back.”

“This weekend, he didn’t come back. It’s one thing to hear that he’s gone, but it’s tragic how it happened,” she emotionally admitted.

One of Stevenson’s friends referred to the incident as “the greatest sadness of my life” in a heartfelt tribute, while another expressed gratitude, stating that he had “changed my perspective on life.”
