Fans have crowned Pamela Anderson as the “most beautiful woman” in the world after she appeared at a film festival without any makeup.
At 57, Anderson is regarded as a cultural icon, with a successful career in both acting and modeling.
She solidified her status as a sex symbol by playing C.J. Parker in the action drama series Baywatch and by gracing the covers of Playboy magazine numerous times.
Now, Anderson dedicates her time to passion projects, including a cookbook and a documentary, but she still makes occasional red-carpet appearances.
After her most recent outing, fans were captivated by her refreshingly natural look.
Reflecting on the icon’s makeup-free look, one fan commented, “She will always be fabulous and beautiful.” Another chimed in, saying, “She’s as gorgeous as ever, if not even more so.”
“Her beauty radiates,” adds another person. “No makeup needed.”
Someone else chimes in: “She looks so vibrant; there’s something truly captivating about natural beauty.”
“She is incredibly naturally beautiful and genuine,” says a fifth person.
Meanwhile, another declares Anderson the “most beautiful woman in the world.”
The wave of comments followed Anderson’s appearance at a photocall for her upcoming movie, The Last Showgirl, during the 2024 San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain, according to ABC News.
She donned a flowing floral dress, paired with small diamond stud earrings and sheer nude heels. Later, at the film’s premiere, she showcased a stunning caped pink gown, with her hair elegantly pinned up in a classic style.
For both events, the model opted for a mostly bare face, with just a touch of red lipstick during her later appearance.
However, this isn’t when Anderson’s no-makeup era started.
Last year, in September 2023, the Barb Wire star attended the Row show in Paris without any makeup, according to Glamour.
This was part of a series of appearances where fans witnessed Anderson’s natural beauty radiate.
While fans celebrate this new chapter in the icon’s life, there is a poignant reason behind her choice to go without makeup.
In an interview with Elle magazine, Anderson revealed her decision to forgo her signature look of penciled-in brows, overlined lips, and dark eyeliner.
She shared that after the passing of her makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, who died from breast cancer in 2019, it just didn’t feel the same anymore.
Anderson explained, “She was the best. Since then, I’ve felt that without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup.”
“[The new look] is freeing, fun, and a bit rebellious too. I noticed so many people embracing bold makeup looks, and it feels just like me to go against the grain and do the opposite of what everyone else is doing.”
She continued, “I think we all start to look a little funny as we get older. I find myself laughing when I look in the mirror, thinking, ‘Wow, what’s happening to me?’ It’s definitely a journey.”
In an interview with Allure, Anderson expanded on the topic, mentioning that while she “liked that it resonated,” she never intended to make a statement about beauty culture.
During Anderson’s latest appearance at the Zurich Film Festival, where she received the Golden Eye award, the star openly discussed her appearance and how it has impacted her career.
While discussing her documentary, Pamela, A Love Story, and her memoir, Love, Pamela, the star expressed that she feels she is being seen in a new and exciting light.
She shared (according to InStyle): “I always knew I was capable of more. It’s wonderful to be part of pop culture, but it’s also a blessing and a curse. People fall in love with you because of a bathing suit. It has taken a long time, but I am finally here.”
