Chloe Bailey was heartbroken upon discovering that she had unintentionally consumed meat for the first time in a decade.
Bailey is an American actress and singer who rose to fame as part of the duo Chloe x Halle, alongside her sister Halle Bailey.
Together, the siblings have released two studio albums, with their second, Ungodly Hour, receiving widespread critical acclaim.
Over the years, Bailey and her sister have been vocal about their dietary choices.

The two follow a vegan lifestyle, avoiding the use of animal products in their diet.
However, on one occasion, Bailey was shocked to discover she had inadvertently broken her lifestyle choice when a hotel mishandled her order.
After the singer shared the experience, people took to the comments to empathize, with one person writing: “Seven plus years here. I completely understand this. It’s happened to me too. I am so skeptical about where I buy my food.”
Another commenter shared, “I’m vegan, and the thought of it made me sick.”
A third person empathized, saying, “If I put 10 years into something and someone’s mistake jeopardized that, I’d be p***ed…”
Someone else commented, “That is not cool. I haven’t eaten pork in 20 years and recently stopped eating meat. I would have instantly been sick.”

In an Instagram livestream, Chloe revealed that her avoidance of meat was broken when she attended Beyoncé’s performance in Atlanta, Georgia, according to The Independent.
She began, “So I called to get a Beyond burger for sis and me, like usual. I specified that it’s vegan, no butter on the bun, nothing like that.”
Beyond Meat is a brand of plant-based meat alternatives designed to look, taste, and cook like real meat.
The Have Mercy singer shared that she was in the shower when the burger arrived, and when she returned to the bedroom, her younger sister immediately questioned her about the meal.
“She’s eating the burger and she’s like, ‘Are you sure this is Beyond?’ She took a couple of bites and said, ‘This is really good, you sure it’s Beyond?’” Chloe recalled.
“I touched the patty and smelled it and was like, ‘Of course, it’s Beyond, yeah.’”
However, the pop star soon realized she had been mistaken.

Chloe continued, “So I finish getting dressed, take a bite, and the juice dripping from the burger is not like a Beyond burger. I just knew it wasn’t a fake burger.
“The one bite I took, and I just knew. Immediately I said, ‘This doesn’t feel right.’”
The singer immediately called the hotel’s front desk to get some answers.
“I said, ‘Ugh, these are vegan burgers, right?’ He said, ‘No, they’re brand burgers.’ I said, ‘Brand burgers? I said Beyond burgers.’ I don’t even know what a brand burger is,” Chloe recalled.
Understandably, the singer was upset to learn she had unintentionally broken her vegan diet.
Chloe shared with her followers, “Halle’s laughing at me because I’m crying. This is right before the concert yesterday. I’m crying, and Halle’s just laughing so hard at me because I’m freaking out.”
Months after the burger incident, Chloe took to TikTok and admitted that she had started eating chicken, 11 years after beginning her vegan diet.
Letting out a deep sigh, she began, “My confession is that recently I have begun consuming chicken.”
“And let me tell you something, yes, after 11 years – I’m dead a** serious. I’m not joking. After 11 years of being vegan, I consume chicken now.”
The Do It singer clarified that she does not consume any other animal products.
Chloe shared with her fans, “I’m still allergic to egg whites and avoid dairy, but honestly, it’s been going really well. I don’t eat much else, though I’ve been experimenting with a bit of chicken.”

She went on to say, “The first time I tried it, my stomach cramped a little, but after that, I was fine.
“I just can’t eat fried chicken with an egg wash because I’m allergic to eggs. But one thing I’ve noticed is that my body has become more toned, even though I haven’t been working out as intensely as usual. It feels like it’s been toning me naturally.”
With a playful remark about being caught eventually, Chloe added, “I knew sooner or later there’d probably be a picture of me with a chicken wing in my mouth.”
