Conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel have responded to remarks on social media following the viral attention garnered by Abby’s wedding in 2021.
Recently, the American twins, who have been conjoined since birth, gained attention in the media after images from Abby’s wedding to US Army veteran Josh Bowling were released to the public.
Their journey to fame began with their debut appearance on an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show in 1996, when they were merely six years old. Their celebrity status flourished further when they secured their own reality TV series on TLC called “Abby & Brittany.” The show delved into their lives, documenting their experiences with education, travel across the US and Europe, and the complexities of relationships while living as conjoined twins.
Demonstrating a steadfast attitude, the twins have consistently found ways to adapt to their conjoined condition, embracing life to the fullest. This resilience was evident on Abby and Josh’s significant day in 2021.
Following the public sharing of videos from the wedding, which circulated widely, including on platforms like Today, the twins found themselves bombarded with inquiries. People were curious about various aspects, ranging from the legal intricacies of marriage as conjoined twins to the mechanics of their intimate life.
The twins responded assertively by posting three TikTok videos, addressing the array of questions and comments that flooded social media platforms.
In one of the videos, a photo of the three of them together is displayed, accompanied by a bold message that reads: “This Is a Message To All the Haters Out There. If You Don’t Like What I Do But You Watch Everything I’m Doing You’re Still a Fan.”
In another video, the pair shared a detailed account of the history of conjoined twins, reassuring their fans by saying, “The internet is extra LOUD today. We have always been around.”
The attention and curiosity surrounding Abby and Brittany have escalated significantly following the dissemination of their wedding pictures.
Josh and Abby have also faced a typical question that arises for any happily married couple, with fans inquiring whether the couple has plans to welcome children.
Many assume that due to their conjoined condition, neither of the twins will be able to have children, but this assumption is not accurate.
Abby and Brittany have both expressed their desire to welcome children in their future.
In a prior documentary, Brittany and Abby both expressed their aspirations for starting families in the past. Brittany once remarked, “The whole world doesn’t need to know who we are seeing, what we are doing, and when we are going to do it. But believe me, we are totally different people.”
Abby also chimed in, stating, “Yeah, we are going to be moms one day, but we don’t want to discuss the details of how it’s going to work just yet.”
