Dodgers fan blows own hands up with fireworks as he celebrates World Series win over New York Yankees

A fan of the LA Dodgers was celebrating his team’s win against the New York Yankees.

Experiencing the joy of watching your favorite sports team win brings a rush of pure euphoria, and fans have countless ways to celebrate such moments.

From enjoying a pint at the pub with friends after the big game to planning an entire night out to commemorate that crucial victory that propels your team forward, the options are endless.

One unique way to celebrate, as demonstrated by a Dodgers fan, is to set off fireworks to mark the occasion.

This was certainly the case as he celebrated the Dodgers’ World Series MLB victory over the New York Yankees.

With Bonfire Night just around the corner, this act is undeniably risky, as a LA Dodgers fan learned the hard way.

Viral footage captured a fan, later identified as a 25-year-old man wearing a No. 22 jersey with the name ‘King’ on the back. He was seen carrying a lit firework across a downtown LA crosswalk, likely in celebration of the Dodgers’ thrilling 7-6 victory over the Yankees in the World Series final on October 31.

Unfortunately, the celebration took a dangerous turn when the firework exploded in his hand before he could set it down and move to a safe distance.

The unexpected explosion produced a large cloud of smoke, and moments later, the fan was seen with blood streaming from his hand.

The incident left the area in shock, with many people rushing over to check on his condition.

However, the viral video quickly made it evident that the man was in serious trouble, with blood covering both of his hands.

There appeared to be pieces of flesh and even some of his fingers were visibly injured. While many onlookers screamed in shock at the scene, others rushed to his aid, calling 911 for emergency assistance.

Amid all the chaos, the injured Dodgers fan looked down at his hand in disbelief as the severity of his injuries sank in.

In a statement to TMZ, the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that he was conscious and alert but had sustained significant hand injuries, which were described as “debilitating.”

According to the County of Los Angeles Fire Code, it is illegal to store, manufacture, sell, use, or handle any type of firework without a valid permit in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles.
