In a deeply personal essay, they began: “Hi friends, I want to share that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they, and my name is Elliot. I feel fortunate to be writing this and to be here.”

“I can’t fully express how incredible it feels to finally love who I am enough to embrace my authentic self.”
“I’ve been endlessly inspired by so many in the trans community. Thank you for your courage, generosity, and tireless efforts to make this world more inclusive and compassionate. I will offer whatever support I can and continue to work towards a more loving and equal society,” he wrote.
“I take immense pride in being trans and queer. Embracing and loving myself fully has allowed my dreams to flourish, my heart to expand, and my spirit to thrive. To every trans person facing harassment, self-doubt, abuse, or violence: I see you, I love you, and I am committed to working towards a world where you are celebrated and safe.”
He then requested patience as he navigates and adjusts to his new identity.
