Lana Rhoades recently shared why she would likely have deleted all of her previous adult film videos by now if she could.
At 19 years old, Lana Rhoades, originally from Chicago, US, entered the adult film industry.
Less than a year later, Rhoades, whose real name is Amara Maple, left the industry to pursue another career. However, her old adult film videos still remain accessible on the internet for all to see.
During an interview on Too Hot To Handle star and YouTuber Harry Jowsey’s ‘Tap In’ podcast in June 2021, Rhoades explained that she had moved to Los Angeles when she was 19 years old.
She was flown there to shoot adult films by an agent and was in the industry for “eight months on and off” in “four-month increments,” she told Jowsey.
However, she then met a YouTuber, and her eyes were opened to the world of influencing. The person she met was making “$15,000 dollars to post a picture with a Jeep” on their Instagram.

“And I was like, ‘Wow, I get paid $1,200 to do this disgusting sex scene, why the heck am I doing this?'” Rhoades says.
And that’s when she decided to leave the industry. But what does she think of her old videos she’s left behind?
As Rhoades grew her Instagram following and established herself as an influencer, unfortunately, this also resulted in her becoming ‘number one on PornHub,’ making it difficult for her to completely distance herself from her previous job role.
The surge in traffic from her Instagram to Pornhub didn’t even financially benefit her.
Rhoades explains: “So on PornHub, many of the videos have no rights under or over, and otherwise I probably would have deleted them all by now.”
When asked if she regrets participating in the videos, Rhoades resolves: “I do. I honestly tell people that if I could go back, I would give up everything to have my dignity and respect back, and for people to not see me in that way.”
Rhoades has spoken out negatively about her experiences in the adult film industry before.
In 2022, she criticized the adult film industry as ‘100 percent fake’ and accused those within it of treating actors like ‘circus acts’.
She also added that she is ‘pretty much asexual’ and doesn’t ‘even like having sex’.
