Meanwhile, Kremers’ iPhone 4 was turned on and off intermittently between April 5 and April 11, but the correct PIN code was never entered.

This could suggest that someone was either repeatedly entering the wrong PIN or simply checking the phone to see if there was any signal.

Kremers’ iPhone was switched off for the final time on April 11.
