Heartbreaking final call of woman as she’s eaten alive by bear and three cubs

A 19-year-old woman in Russia was tragically mauled to death by bears while her mother, unable to intervene, could only listen helplessly on the phone.

In 2011, Olga Moskalyova tragically lost her life when she and her stepfather, Igor Tsyganenkov, went to a river in the village of Termalniy, near Petropavlovsk Kamchatskiy in eastern Siberia.

The pair had gone to retrieve a fishing rod that Igor had left behind, so Tatiana was caught off guard when she received a call from Olga during their outing.

When Tatiana answered the phone, she heard her daughter’s desperate voice: “Mom, the bear is eating me! Mom, it’s so painful. Mom, help!”

Tatiana was initially shocked and thought Olga might be joking. However, she soon heard the horrifying sound of chewing on the line.

She recalled, “I heard the real horror and pain in Olga’s voice, along with the sounds of a bear growling and chewing. I felt as if I could have died from shock in that moment.”

At the time she spoke to her daughter, Tatiana was unaware that Igor had already been killed. A bear had overpowered him and broken his neck.

Olga witnessed the bear attacking her stepfather and tried to escape, but the mother bear caught up to her and seized her leg.

In the second call, Olga said, “Mom, the bears are back. She returned with her three cubs. They’re… eating me.”

Her final call came nearly an hour after the first, revealing that Olga could no longer hold on much longer.

She said, “Mom, it doesn’t hurt anymore. I don’t feel the pain. Forgive me for everything. I love you so much.”

Horrified, the mother alerted the police and relatives in the village, pleading with them to hurry to the river. But by the time Igor’s brother arrived with the police, Olga was already dead.

Hunters were dispatched to the area to track down the bears responsible for the killings.

In the wake of her daughter’s untimely death, Tatiana paid tribute, saying, “My daughter was so much fun. She was always cheerful, friendly, and warm.”

“She had graduated from music school, and just days before the bear attack, she had gotten her driver’s license.”
