The Feigls’ doppelgänger saga initiated with both of them undergoing identical elbow surgeries carried out by the same physician, Dr. James Andrews.
“I was probably six or seven months post-surgery, and their office contacted our trainer, asking, ‘Hey, when is Brady scheduled for surgery? Is he coming down here tomorrow?'” recounted the younger Feigl to The Clarion Ledger.

As per the younger Feigl, this occurrence was the moment when the older Feigl became aware of his uncanny doppelgänger. “He was like, ‘He underwent the surgery six months ago. Fast-forwarding two years later, the University of Missouri’s baseball team garnered attention by mistakenly tagging the wrong Brady Feigl, now playing for the Las Vegas Aviators, in a birthday shoutout on social media.
The tweet read: “Big birthday shoutout to JR Pitcher @bmfeigl! Have an awesome day! #BirthdayReb.” The mix-up prompted the former San Diego Padres player to clarify, stating, “Wrong Brady Feigl. Might be looking for @bfeigl39…”
