Aniston stars as Alex Levy in the popular AppleTV+ series, which has just started filming its fourth season.
Jennifer Aniston found herself in a tricky situation over the weekend.
New photos reveal the Friends alum, 55, getting drenched in oil while filming for The Morning Show in New York City.
In what seemed to be a protest scene, Aniston — portraying Alex Levy — was completely covered in a black liquid. The actress appeared visibly angry as the extras in the scene turned away from the spill.
Earlier this month, Aniston confirmed that production for season 4 had begun by sharing a delightful photo of herself with costars Reese Witherspoon and Tig Notaro, all dressed in matching denim outfits.
In the first photo, they each held up their name cards, looking thrilled to return to their roles. The second photo showcased Aniston’s script for the upcoming season.
“Let @themorningshow season 4 games begin 🥳 Here we come! ❤️👏🏼👏🏼❤️🥂,” Aniston captioned the Instagram post, which also included a photo of her script for the first episode of season 4.
The Morning Show, which tracks the lives of news anchors at the fictional UBA as they navigate both personal and professional challenges, has been a hit on Apple TV+ since its debut in 2019.
Season 3 introduced Jon Hamm as Paul Marks, a new character hired to rescue UBA from financial troubles. As Aniston’s character Alex embarked on a secret relationship with Paul, fans were left wondering how their romance would influence UBA’s potential downfall.
Showrunner Charlotte Stoudt recently told The Hollywood Reporter that the repercussions of their actions in season 3 will impact “every sense and every character” in season 4.
“If we asked the audience to go on that ride, then we have to honor that ride,” she said.
Since its debut, The Morning Show has received over 50 award nominations. Aniston won a SAG Award for her role as Alex in 2020.
