Jessie J has been open with fans about her fertility struggles, revealing that she was once told she would “never get pregnant.”
In 2021, the pop star faced heartbreak when she suffered a miscarriage.
“After going for my third scan, I was told there was no longer a heartbeat.”
She continued: “I’ve done two shows in two years, and my soul is craving it now more than ever. I know some might suggest I should just cancel it, but right now, I’m clear on one thing.”
“I began singing as a child for the joy it brought me and as a form of self-love therapy. That hasn’t changed, and I need to process this in my own way.”
Jessie J shared that she chose to have a baby ‘on her own’ because it was ‘all she ever wanted.’
However, in May 2023, the singer revealed that she had actually welcomed a baby with a partner.
She wrote, “I am so happy and terrified to finally share this. Please be gentle with me,” when announcing her pregnancy.
The celebrity couple hinted at their relationship for months before making it public.
In an Instagram post celebrating the UK’s Mother’s Day while she was still pregnant, Jessie J said: “I love your Daddy so much; you wouldn’t be on your way without him.”
“He is the most patient, calm, and good-looking man.”
“You are going to LOVE him when you meet him.”
“And now, here we are!”
In another post, the pop star shared a loving tribute to the father of her child on her Instagram story, although his face remained hidden in the photo.
Jessie J wrote: “I struggle to keep things private. I think if you know me, you know that.”
“I want to shield the people I care about and keep them close to myself. But then I often think, ‘Forget it—life is short,’ and I don’t want to look back with regret.”
The hitmaker reveals that she fell for her boyfriend almost instantly after their first meeting.
She continues, “I met this man weeks after my miscarriage in 2021, and he was like a beam of light. He brightened my darkest days.”
“It was a whirlwind of love and a miracle that we conceived naturally without any problems.”
“Words can’t express my gratitude. He’s given me some of the most precious gifts of my life.”
Jessie J shared that her boyfriend was by her side when she gave birth to their child via C-section.
“He held my hand the entire time, and I couldn’t have done it without him,” she said.
