Johnny Depp has finally spoken out on the rumors that he’s dating Jenna Ortega.
In the whirlwind world of celebrity gossip, speculations about romantic entanglements can spread like wildfire.
Recently, the rumor mill ignited with whispers of a budding romance between 61-year-old Hollywood icon Depp and the 21-year-old star of Netflix’s Wednesday, Ortega.
The murmurs gained traction when celebrity gossip page Deuxmoi suggested that the two had been seen together.
And now, Depp has responded to the claims.
At 61, Depp remains a focal point of public curiosity, both for his diverse filmography and his often turbulent personal life.
Recent reports suggest that Depp is now seeing someone new, which has sparked interest given his history of headline-making relationships.
Depp’s previous long-term relationship was with French singer, model, and actress Vanessa Paradis, which lasted from 1998 until their separation in 2012.
The couple shares two children, Lily-Rose and Jack. Their time together was notably private, and they have reportedly maintained a friendly relationship since their split.
His relationship with actress Amber Heard was marked by significant public and legal drama.
The two met during the filming of The Rum Diary in 2009 and married in 2015, but their marriage ended in divorce after just one year.
Heard subsequently filed a restraining order against Depp, and in 2022, Depp won a defamation lawsuit against her related to a 2018 op-ed in The Washington Post.
Another of Depp’s romantic situations has also recently caught the public’s attention.
He was spotted with Yulia Vlasova, a Russian model and beautician based in Prague, whom he is said to have met at the 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2021.
Despite not officially confirming their relationship, there are hints of romance from Vlasova’s social media posts.
The couple’s connection has stirred controversy, partly due to Vlasova’s resemblance to Heard, leading fans to draw comparisons.
Additionally, the age difference – Depp being significantly older than Vlasova, who is reportedly in her late twenties – has also fueled speculation and concern among fans.
But that isn’t the only recent relationship rumor that’s got Depp’s fans feeling concerned.
The reports of him being spotted with Jenna Ortega have also caused a lot of online commentary.
So much so that Depp has been forced to speak out…
However, Ortega swiftly took to her Instagram story to quash the rumors, setting the record straight once and for all.
She exclaimed: “This is so ridiculous I can’t even laugh. I have never met or worked with Johnny Depp in my life. Please stop spreading lies and leave us alone.”
Following Ortega’s resolute statement, Depp’s representatives stepped into the fray, not only dispelling the dating rumors but also addressing speculation that Depp might join her in Tim Burton’s upcoming sequel, Beetlejuice 2.
They unequivocally stated: “Mr Depp has no personal or professional relationship with Ms Ortega whatsoever. He has never met her or spoken to her.
“He is not involved in any project with her, nor does he intend to be. He is appalled by these baseless and malicious rumors that are intended to harm his reputation and career.”
So that’s put those rumors to bed.
It also seemingly dismisses the reports that Depp will appear in Beetlejuice 2, which is set to be released this September.
