Judge keeps Diddy in prison after shocking new text messages uncovered

Ventura’s reply was sharp and laced with anguish. She reported, “I have a black eye and a fat lip.” You are sick for thinking it’s okay to do what you’ve done. I still have crazy bruising.”

In light of the claims, Combs has consistently maintained his innocence throughout the entire process. Marc Agnifilo, representing Combs, argued that his client does not present a flight risk and would conform to all court requirements if granted release.

Agnifilo highlighted Combs’ previous legal challenges, notably his 2001 acquittal in a shooting incident. “A jury of 12 New Yorkers found him not guilty,” Agnifilo added, stressing his client’s reliability in challenging situations.

Nonetheless, Judge Andrew Carter remained unconvinced by the defense’s arguments. Carter raised alarms about the possibility that Combs might still pose a threat to witnesses or interfere with the legal process, even while under home detention.

“The danger of obstruction of justice and the danger of witness tampering—that is a real concern that I have here,” Judge Carter said. Judge Carter denied the $50 million bail package and ordered Combs to remain in custody.

Prosecutors emphasized Combs’ past incidents of aggression, particularly regarding Ventura. The 2016 assault, characterized by the judge as “disturbing,” took center stage during the hearing.

Combs’ legal team attempted to minimize the incident, portraying it as an isolated occurrence. Agnifilo asserted that Combs had undergone a transformation, yet the judge appeared skeptical of this argument.

As a result, Combs remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. His legal team has scheduled his upcoming court date for October 9 to redress the bail situation.
