Justin Timberlake’s NSFW wardrobe malfunction has sparked a flood of the same joke online.
Timberlake is no stranger to making headlines, but his latest onstage moment wasn’t due to a chart-topping song or impressive dance moves.
At his concert in Nashville on Friday night, the 43-year-old pop star became the center of an unexpected viral moment when a wardrobe malfunction unexpectedly stole the show.
Performing at the Bridgestone Arena during his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, Timberlake delivered a high-energy set filled with his signature dance moves and hit songs.
However, midway through the performance, a harness strapped around his waist unintentionally stole the spotlight due to its awkward positioning. Fans quickly noticed that the harness had ridden up too high, drawing attention to an unfortunate area, which Timberlake tried to cover up with his shirt, but to no avail.
A fan-captured video of the incident quickly went viral on social media.
In the clip, Timberlake can be seen tugging at his shirt and adjusting the harness, clearly aware of the mishap but unable to fully fix it in the moment.
This isn’t the first time Timberlake has found himself in the spotlight due to a wardrobe mishap.
Fans quickly drew comparisons to the infamous 2004 Super Bowl halftime show incident with Janet Jackson.
During their performance, Timberlake, as a surprise guest, accidentally exposed Jackson’s breast when he ripped away a part of her costume.
The moment became one of the most controversial in live television history, overshadowing Jackson’s career while Timberlake largely avoided the long-term fallout.
The incident resurfaced in 2021 following the release of the Framing Britney Spears documentary, which also examined Timberlake’s past treatment of his ex-girlfriend, Britney Spears.
In the face of renewed criticism, Timberlake issued a public apology to both Spears and Jackson, expressing regret for his role in perpetuating misogyny and failing to support them during crucial moments in their careers.
“I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism,” he wrote in his apology.
Once the footage hit platforms like TikTok, fans and trolls alike were quick to share their reactions.
One commenter humorously riffed on Timberlake’s iconic 2006 hit SexyBack, quipping: “Bringing micro back.”
Another joked about his awkward attempts to fix the situation, writing: “The way he tugged his shirt to cover it… priceless!”
Even Timberlake’s wife, actress Jessica Biel, wasn’t spared from the online banter.
One cheeky post read: “No wonder Jessica Biel be looking miserable all the time,” while another joked: “Jessica, blink twice if you need help.”
One user quipped: “This is why JT doesn’t freestyle like Chris Brown anymore!”
