Harry received recognition for both his military service and his commitment to activism.
Harry was celebrated at the 21st annual Living Legends of Aviation Award ceremony for his numerous contributions, starting from his aviation training as part of the military.
The event commended him for dedicating the “initial decade of his adulthood to the British Army.” During this period, he fulfilled roles as a forward air controller and an Apache helicopter pilot, completing two tours of duty in Afghanistan. Following his military service, The Duke established the Invictus Games Foundation, providing a platform for the rehabilitation of wounded, injured, and sick service personnel through sports. The international event, widely acclaimed for its impact, showcases resilience, community, and athleticism, universally celebrating those who serve.
Harry was accompanied by three other inductees, and among those honored with a special award was helicopter pilot Lauren Sanchez, who is engaged to Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon.
Meghan had originally been slated to join the black-tie affair.
As per People magazine, one of the couple’s children fell ill before the event. The report did not specify whether it was Archie, now 4 years old, or Lilibet, now 2 years old.

John, a passionate pilot himself, took on the role of presenting Harry with his award. Currently, Prince Harry has not shown any intention of returning to England to reestablish connections with his royal relatives.
