A viral image of a hidden animal has taken the internet by storm – and it’s said that only 1 in 100 people can find it.
TikTok sensation Hectic Nick is keeping his followers on their toes with brain teasers and mind-boggling images.
In one of his most popular visual puzzles, Hectic Nick challenged fans to find the hidden animal within a viral image.
He teased his followers with a caption: “You can only like this video if you can spot the hidden image in the picture.”
He added, “Apparently, only one percent of people can find it – if you can, comment because I see nothing!”
People have eagerly accepted the challenge, with many trying to spot the elusive panda hidden in the image.
“I can’t see it lol,” one user commented.
A second added, “I really couldn’t see it at first.”
“I had to turn my phone upside down,” shared another user.
A fourth viewer commented, “I made my eyes blurry.”
Meanwhile, some viewers found the challenge too easy. One TikToker wrote, “Panda – shake the screen.”
“It’s very easy to see what it is. I saw it immediately,” another proudly boasted.
A third person wrote, “This challenge was a lot easier than I thought.”
“Panda. It’s visible. I’m in that exclusive one percent. Yessssss,” another user exclaimed.
Those who found the puzzle easy have offered advice for those struggling.
One viewer suggested, “I saw a panda – you can only see it if you move the picture away from you.”
Another user suggested, “Instead of looking away, just cross your eyes to look at your nose. Then look at the screen, and you’ll see the panda for a second.”
“I saw a panda because I tilted my device,” shared someone else.
There’s a reason why some people have found this challenge more difficult than others—it all comes down to how the brain processes visual information and the ability to perceive hidden images.
In an interview with News.com.au, Associate Professor Paul E. Dux from the University of Queensland’s School of Psychology explained, “Some people have better ‘spatial attention’ than others.”
Visual-spatial attention is a form of spatial attention that involves focusing on a specific area in space.
“The other reason is that people sometimes just get lucky, and their eyes fall on the target immediately,” Professor Dux added.
Professor Barton Anderson from the University of Sydney told News.com.au that if people struggle to spot the panda, they should “view the image from a distance or blur their eyes by squinting.”
Visual puzzles like this are constantly trending on social media.
Recently, people were puzzled by a photograph of a cleverly hidden snow leopard, and there was also the photo of a wedding ring concealed within a pile of pebbles that left many baffled.
