The good news is that its venom typically isn’t deadly to humans, but the bad news is that a bite can still be extremely painful.
Overall, copperheads are fairly laid-back snakes and wonโt go after youโunless you step on one and make it angry.
As you can see from the image above, copperheads love to blend in with the leaves, making them very difficult to spot.
Unfortunately, many people were having a hard time finding the snake, with one person commenting: “Oh! There itโnope. Oh! It’s thโnope. Honestly, itโs crazy how effective camouflage is.”
“Until I joined this sub, Iโd only ever seen pictures of snakes in books against a stark white background, but seeing camouflage really work in the wild is something else.”
“Well, it just makes me never want to go into the woods again.”
An experienced โsnake spotterโ commented: โLiving in the South my whole lifeโฆ itโs super easy. Lol. But theyโre really good at camouflaging,โ while another added: โIโve gotten pretty good at spotting them myself; he just took me by surprise. Great eye!โ
Without further ado, one eagle-eyed user pointed out that the copperhead is in the ‘bottom left-hand corner’.
“But youโve got to keep your eyes sharp! Heโs almost completely hidden!” they explained.
