Sad story of what happened to the ‘Why you coming fast’ guy from YouTube video

The online realm is brimming with memes, and amidst this vast collection, you might have overlooked the ‘Why you coming fast’ individual, alternatively recognized as Ferdi.

He gained viral fame from the video below, where a cyclist seemed to bump into a car, causing a crash while he was on duty.

Naturally irked by the collision, Ferdi vocalized his frustration with the question, “Why you coming fast?” directed at the bicyclist who had crashed into him.

The video rapidly went viral, granting the man his fleeting 15 minutes of fame.

While some internet personalities have successfully turned their meme status into careers by capitalizing on what people love about them, Ferdi, unfortunately, did not experience the same level of success.

Upon achieving global fame, Ferdi enlisted the management services of Snatchy, the son of one of his friends, who agreed to handle his affairs. Snatchy believed there was a demand for Ferdi’s presence at various club and bar events where people wished to meet him.

His manager would compensate him with sums ranging from ยฃ200 to ยฃ700 for each night, while taking a customary commission. However, Ferdi mentioned that he had consistently requested to sign a formal contract, which did not materialize.

“I inquired several times, but I couldn’t obtain a satisfactory answer,” he remarked.

Despite the challenges, the mechanic appeared to be making progress, as Snatchy later reported that they had secured a contract with Boohoo to produce ‘Why you coming fast?’ t-shirts.

However, Ferdi asserts once more that he was taken advantage of, alleging that he only received approximately ยฃ7,000 to ยฃ8,000 from the deal.

“I should be a millionaire,” he expressed to the hosts. “I squandered two years when I could have been employed.”

“I ended up losing money because nobody wants to offer me a job. People assume I’m a millionaire, and they think I’m either lying to them or joking around,” he lamented.

He further alleged that the elusive Snatchy created an Instagram account using Ferdi’s name but with his own login details, accumulating hundreds of thousands of followers.

However, the hosts intervened to highlight that the manager was likely fulfilling his responsibilities, especially considering Ferdi’s unfamiliarity with social media usage.

Nevertheless, Ferdi regained control of his Instagram account and proceeded to create a comedy music video, an experience he enthusiastically describes as ‘amazing’.

Nonetheless, Ferdi boldly declared, “I didn’t earn a single penny from this music video,” describing those who absconded with the money as ‘b***tards’.

He concluded his impassioned speech by revealing that matters reached a critical point in early 2019 when Snatchy visited his home and declared, “You’re finished, you’re dead, nobody wants to see you.”

Today, Ferdi mentioned that he currently operates as a delivery driver six days a week and has aspirations to kickstart a food review show titled “Ferdi Eats.”

Certainly, every story has two perspectives, but it’s evident that Ferdi is still grappling with the way things unfolded.

At the moment, he finds himself preoccupied with thoughts of a cyclist and an individual named Snatchy, residing rent-free in his mind. Let’s hope he can leave the past behind and forge ahead with his life.
