Sister Wives star Janelle Brown’s son Garrison has died aged just 25

Garrison Brown, the 25-year-old son of Janelle Brown from TLC’s popular reality show “Sister Wives,” has passed away.

His family has confirmed the tragic news in a statement posted on Janelle’s Instagram account.

The statement reads: “Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy, Robert Garrison Brown.

“He illuminated the lives of everyone fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.”

“The void left by his absence is so immense that it leaves us breathless.”

“We kindly request your understanding for our need for privacy as we pay tribute to his memory together.”

Kody’s father also posted a statement on his Instagram page.

Police confirmed to PEOPLE that Garrison was “found deceased” in his home by his brother Gabriel, 22. The Flagstaff Police Department informed the outlet: “On 03/05/2024, Flagstaff Police officers responded to a report of a death at a residence.”

“At this juncture, there is no indication of foul play, and detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division are currently conducting an investigation.”

TLC, the network that aired Sister Wives, the show through which Garrison and his family gained fame, also released a statement regarding the tragic event: “We are deeply saddened by the heartbreaking loss of Garrison Brown.

“We extend our sincerest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Brown family during this challenging time.”

Garrison made his debut on the reality show in 2010 at the tender age of 12. The series chronicles the polygamous lifestyle and family of his father, Kody, with Janelle as one of his wives. Their separation and subsequent divorce unfolded over the past few years within the show’s narrative.

Garrison was one of six children, alongside Madison, Logan, Gabriel, Hunter, and Savanah. Kody and Janelle initially entered into a “spiritual marriage” in 1993.

In recent years, Garrison’s relationship with his father has unfortunately become strained. Kody acknowledged in a May 2023 episode that a divide had emerged between them, stating, “I haven’t been in touch with Gabriel and Garrison for quite a while.”

“It’s really saddening that I’ve grown distant from them. We shared so many enriching experiences together in our lives, and it’s disheartening to no longer have that closeness.”

He continued, expressing hope: “I believe and hope that with time, we’ll overcome this rift and be comfortable reconnecting with each other.”

“At the moment, there isn’t much of an open door with Gabe and Garrison. They’re not willing to engage with me.”

At the age of 25, he enlisted in the Nevada Army National Guard back in 2015. Initially aspiring to join the Army, he compromised with his parents and opted for the National Guard instead. He completed his basic training in 2016.

Following his military service, he ventured into entrepreneurship and launched his own online clothing store in 2019 named Bob’s Floral. The store specialized in selling Hawaiian floral shirts.
