Regrettably, David Soul has passed away, as confirmed by his wife.
According to TMZ, the star of Starsky and Hutch passed away on Thursday, January 4, at the age of 80.
Known for his depiction of Detective Kenneth “Hutch” Hutchinson in the legendary crime-solving series Starsky & Hutch, the distressing announcement was verified by the actor’s wife, Helen Snell.
In a sincere statement, Snell expressed, “David Soul, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, departed peacefully after a valiant struggle for life, surrounded by his loving family.”

David Richard Solberg, known by his stage name Soul, was born on August 28, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois. He gained widespread recognition as a household name through his role in the renowned 1970s television series, Starsky & Hutch. Soul’s depiction of Hutch, alongside Paul Michael Glaser’s portrayal of Starsky, played a pivotal role in turning the show into an international sensation.
Prior to achieving television stardom, Soul enjoyed a multifaceted career. Initially venturing into music, he rose to prominence as a folk singer during the 1960s.
