The passing of the actor was confirmed by his wife, Helen Snell, in a statement. She explained that the father-of-six succumbed yesterday (4 January) after a valiant battle for life, surrounded by the loving company of family.

A user shared, “I remember this image on so many posters when I was a kid. A talented actor and singer, and one of the coolest people alive in the 1970s. Rest in peace, David Soul.”
