Angry Grammys viewers have flooded social media with outrage over the interaction between Taylor Swift and Céline Dion at the awards ceremony.
Last night, on February 4th, the 66th Annual Grammy Awards unfolded at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. A surprise appearance by Céline Dion occurred as she took the stage to present the prestigious ‘Album of the Year’ award.
Unfortunately, some individuals with a negative outlook couldn’t resist focusing on the moment when Taylor Swift accepted her award and her perceived treatment of Dion.
Those who were quick to judge may have overlooked the post-Grammy interaction between the pair. Watch the supposedly scandalous moment here.
Dion graced the stage to present the award for ‘Album of the Year’—an accolade she herself earned 27 years ago for her 1996 release, Falling into You.
At 55 years old, Dion revealed the winner—for the fourth consecutive year—to be Swift, for her album “Midnights.”
In a clip from the awards, Swift’s reaction to her name being called out is evident as she expresses shock by repeating, “Oh my god” several times. She then rises from her seat and starts to make her way towards the stage.
Swift eventually ascends the stage, embracing several people before accepting the trophy from Dion’s hands without giving her much attention. She then turns towards the audience to deliver her acceptance speech.
And it hasn’t taken long for viewers to flock to X—formerly known as Twitter—expressing their dissatisfaction with Swift’s apparent behavior.

A user of the X platform expressed their surprise, stating: “And @taylorswift13 doesn’t even acknowledge it! I’m amazed! Sigh.”
Another person chimed in, expressing their disappointment: “Taylor Swift was so disrespectful not to acknowledge such a legendary icon like Celine Dion!”
A third commenter remarked, “It’s inspiring to witness Céline Dion’s presence despite battling a debilitating illness, yet Taylor Swift completely disregarded her. Swift lacked respect, swiftly grabbing the award from Dion’s hands without a single acknowledgment or glance. I’m a fan of Taylor, but that behavior was utterly classless!”
If only viewers had fully observed the entirety of Dion and Swift’s interactions.

Had they done so, they would’ve witnessed Swift captured on camera passionately singing along to ‘The Power of Love’ as Dion first took the stage.
Furthermore, the duo was also seen embracing backstage after the ceremony concluded.
