Wendy Williams can reportedly only feel 2% of her feet: ‘There’s no cure for this’

The preview for Wendy Williams’ forthcoming documentary has sparked significant discussions, particularly following the celebrity’s candid revelations about her health.

In the trailer for her upcoming Lifetime documentary titled “Where Is Wendy Williams?”, the ex-talk show host made an appearance alongside her family, shedding light on the challenges she has been confronting since her sudden disappearance from the public eye over a year ago.

Commencing with a glimpse into the remarkable moments of the 59-year-old’s illustrious career, the trailer took a swift turn in tone as it began unraveling the truth.

Kevin Hunter Jr., Wendy Williams’ son, revealed, “My mom has done a good job making it seem like everything is okay always, but in reality, there’s something wrong going on,” as heard in the trailer.

Before long, the trailer provides a glimpse into the challenges that have besieged the star’s life, hindering her from sustaining her TV career. These include conditions such as lymphedema and Graves’ disease.

According to the Mayo Clinic, lymphedema is a condition characterized by swelling of tissues in the body, resulting from an accumulation of protein-rich fluid that typically gets drained through the body’s lymphatic system.

Primarily impacting the arms or legs, lymphedema can also manifest in other areas such as the chest wall, abdomen, neck, and genitals.

Furthermore, Graves’ disease is an immune system disorder leading to the excessive production of thyroid hormones, causing hyperthyroidism, according to medical sources. Although symptoms can be managed, the condition may present various manifestations such as heat intolerance, tremors, anxiety, irritability, bulging eyes, frequent bowel movements, and thick, red skin typically found on the shins or tops of the feet.

In a subsequent trailer for the two-part documentary (though it has been removed), Wendy Williams candidly discusses her struggle with lymphedema, a condition that has led to swelling in her feet.

The star, acknowledging her condition, confesses, as reported by TooFab: “I can only feel, now, 2%,” breaking down in tears and proclaiming, “There’s no cure for this.”

After watching the three-minute clip, fans have flooded the comments section expressing deep concern for the star. Many are sending prayers and well wishes as Wendy Williams grapples with both mental and physical health challenges.

One user emotionally expressed, “Couldnโ€™t stop crying watching this. Wendy we love you,” and another shared heartfelt sentiments, saying, “Wendy was my go-to after a long day of work and needing to unwind with reality TV scoops or messy Hollywood stories. I remember and still use her popular phrase, ‘How you doing?’ from way back in her radio show days, driving to college. Wendy was part of many of our youth years. Please get better, Wendy.”

A third person added, “We love you Wendy. It hurts to see her in this state.”

This revelation coincides with the news that the star re-entered a wellness facility towards the end of last year.

In a statement to E! News, Wendy Williams’ publicist, Shawn Zanotti, conveyed, “Wendy is excited about the road ahead and looking forward to releasing her many projects. She wants to say, ‘thank you to my fans for your love, support, and many prayers, I am back and better than ever.'”

Allegedly, she is now directing her attention to a podcast project titled “The Wendy Experience Podcast.” However, it is emphasized that the star’s primary focus remains on addressing her health issues.

Wendy Williams’ two-part documentary is scheduled to premiere on Lifetime on February 24 and 25.
