Disturbing footage has surfaced on the internet depicting shoppers being trampled as they compete to acquire a limited edition Stanley Cup.
Following the viral circulation of a video showcasing a Stanley Cup miraculously surviving a fire that destroyed the rest of the car, the heightened interest in the item comes as no surprise.
However, certain individuals have elevated their passion for the cup to an extreme level, lining up outside a store at 3:00 am and jostling each other in their eagerness to secure a limited edition version.
In fairness to Stanley Cups, they are undeniably stylish and practical reusable bottles.
These cups not only boast a sleek and adorable design but also exude a sense of confidence. Holding one might make you feel like a boss who has everything together. Personally, I didn’t go to the extent of risking being ‘trampled’ just to acquire one.
Nevertheless, there were individuals who went to such lengths, forming a queue outside a Target at 3:00 am on December 31, all in pursuit of a limited edition version of the bottle, specifically for Valentine’s Day.

Indeed, as the horrors of Christmas have barely subsided, we find ourselves swiftly catapulted into the next commercialized holiday—Valentine’s Day.
Fear not, for Stanley has us singles covered. As if our love for the brand couldn’t grow any stronger, they have released a special edition cup as part of their ‘Galentine’s Collection’ to mark the occasion. This is particularly thoughtful for those of us who may find ourselves shedding a tear into a pillow on the actual day, only to venture out the next day to indulge in half-priced heart-shaped chocolates.
As per Target’s website, the ’40 Oz Stainless Steel H2.0 Flowstate Quencher Tumbler’ is available in two shades of pink and red, priced at $45.
Unfortunately, the cups are presently out of stock online, a situation not entirely unexpected considering the scenes witnessed at a local Target.

Videos on TikTok depict individuals being ‘jostled in a crowd’ as they strive to acquire one of the exclusive limited edition cups.
On December 31, TikTok user Jazmin Hernanzed posted a video revealing people actively sprinting towards the display showcasing the cups at a Target store.
The accompanying caption states: “Navigating a crowd for a Target Stanley Valentine’s Cup.”
In another video by Victoria Robino, comparable scenes of disorder unfold, with children being dispatched into the midst of the crowd to secure a cup, or tossed over shoulders as the competition intensifies to be the first to reach a limited edition cup.
Echoing a sentiment, one user commented, “The cups are nice, but I don’t quite understand the frenzy.”
